Improve your overall level of English, whether you are learning for your job, for travel, for your studies or for pleasure.
Our Intensive English courses are designed to improve your overall level of English to make you more confident, fluent and able to communicate in different life and work situations. Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are presented in meaningful and enjoyable ways, and the teaching programme is designed to improve all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The teachers will also help you with your pronunciation.
Students are grouped in classes according to their level, and teachers will assess the best way to help the students develop their language. This will involve a mix of an assigned coursebook and the teachers’ own materials and ideas.
Each level covers a standard and expected range of language. The topics and the related vocabulary are usually connected to the Common European Framework (CEFr). A lot of the topics can be extended in order to meet student interest and need.
It is expected that most students will move to the next level after about 12-13 weeks provided that they have made satisfactory progress and have performed appropriately in the monthly progress tests.
Each level will also build on the level below.
We evaluate your level of English at the start of your course to understand your individual needs. We monitor your progress through continuous assessment, regular progress tests, as well as regular tutorials. At the end of your stay you will receive a personal report and certificate confirming your final level and the progress you have made. Your teachers can also advise you on whether you should think about doing an exam preparation course.
You will improve your accuracy and fluency in English as well as your confidence in using the language in social, travel and general work situations.
