At Hilderstone College, we apply safeguarding procedures to every aspect of our courses, particularly for those aged Under 18.
All under 18s will get a pastoral tutorial in their first week to ensure the student is aware of what they can and cannot do: pubs, curfews etc. and to ensure that they know who they can approach if they have a question or problem.
Social events have risk assessments that include reference to the supervision and safeguarding of under 18s.
All students are given an ID card which includes the emergency telephone numbers.
Photos of all Under 18s and those considered vulnerable are made available to all staff in a protected manner.
At breaktimes and lunchtimes, there is a staff presence in the communal areas.
Hilderstone College takes the welfare of all its students, staff and partners very seriously.
