A poem by Vivien Marie Rudek
Sea, how do you feel at night?
Your soul is deep,
your mind is wide
and everything becomes so quiet
and everything is quiet.
Sea, what do you think at night?
Your fear is gone
with your low tide
and everything becomes so right
and everything is right.
Sea, what do you dream at night?
If nobody
is by your side
the moon becomes the only light,
the only light.
Sea, how do you know at night
that darkest waves
can be so bright?
Because the moon becomes your guide?
The moon becomes your guide.
Sea, I’m standing here this night
and there is nothing left to hide
because your calm becomes my might.
Your calm becomes my might.
