We were absolutely delighted to hear from the Duncan Centre dance academy in the Czech Republic about the wonderful effort their students – past and present – have made to contribute to our 100 km target in aid of Comic Relief.
By walking, running or dancing, they have added at least 45 km to our target, which means we have exceeded our original 100 km target – now we want to see how far we can go!
Renata from the Duncan Centre told us:
“We have made a little twist to your idea with Hana, hoping for the students to join in a common event, making us to come together. When I got their last writing – an informal letter – most of them contained sentences like “I wish it was all over and we were back at school” “I never thought I would dance in our living room…”
These young people are in their thirties now, so as you can see, a new generation is growing for Hilderstone.”
Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, with ‘a vision of a just world, free from poverty’. Alternating years with Sports Relief, they raise money through entertainment and a huge annual telethon.
Huge thanks to everyone at the Duncan Centre for their enthusiastic cooperation in our project, and to all those who have taken part.
Here are some of their photos!
